Park Facilities
Parks Maintenance is responsible for maintenance, improvement, and repair for eleven (11) parks, fifteen (15) beautification areas, and the Library/Museum building. For more information on the city's parks call the Parks & Recreation office at (509) 865-5150.

Recreation Programs
The Parks and Recreation Administration department provides direct service for all recreation programs and activities for the City. The goals of the department are to provide quality, affordable, safe, and fun activities and programs, to maintain and improve our existing parks, and to enhance the quality of life for the entire community.

Seasonal Employment

Volunteers
The Parks and Recreation Department welcomes volunteers and relies on them for many activities. Contact our office at (509) 865-5150 for more details or download our sign up sheet or coach's facts sheet (PDF format). Listed below are examples of current projects, but please suggest others if you have a special interest, skill or need.

  • Recreation Programs
    If you want to help a child, work with athletes, teach a swim lesson or just sign up participants, we will welcome your assistance.
  • Pick-a-Piece-of-Park:
    Similar to the Adopt-a-Highway program, there are areas of our parks we would be happy to let you adopt and help keep beautiful.

 

Toppenish Pool

Aquatics
The Aquatics Services program reflects the operation of one outdoor 50 meter pool during summer months for public swimming, lessons, private pool rentals, swim team and swim meets.

Rentals and Reservations
The Parks & Recreation Department issues Park Use Permits. You may wish to use a public facility or do work that requires a permit. Please review this listing or call the Parks & Recreation Department at (509) 865-5150 to determine if you should apply for a particular permit.
